The motor vehicle has a collision detection device to detect an impending collision of the vehicle with a third object and the sitting persons. A feeding device (8) discharges the gas or liquid into a neck region (16) provided at a seat of a seated person (17) through the seat-side outlet openings (15,19), when the impending collision is detected. The feeding device comprises a control device (9) that discharges the gas or liquid cooled by a cooling device (11) through a controllable valve (12) and a pumping unit.
