PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring material capable of simplifying a production process of forming a branched wiring structure, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing a wiring material comprises: a step of arranging a pair of first pins 41 so as to be parallel with a feed path to be fed with a conductor; a step of feeding a conductor 2 along the feed path; a step of arranging a second pin 42 so as to sandwich the conductor 2 to a pair of the first pins 41; and a step of relatively moving the second pin 42 so as to pass through a pair of the first pins 41 and bending the conductor 2 to a direction crossed with the feed path.
