<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem about a self-checkout terminal that it takes time for a customer to perform commodity registration processing because he/she needs to make the self-checkout terminal read bar codes of purchased commodities one by one.SOLUTION: A checkout terminal comprises: a storage part which stores a commodity code, a commodity weight, and tag information in a wireless tag attached to a commodity in association with one another for each commodity; a wireless reader/writer which reads tag information stored in a wireless tag from the wireless tag attached to a commodity; an acquisition section which acquires a commodity weight attached to tag information read by the wireless reader/writer from the storage part; a totaling section which totals all weights of commodities acquired by the acquisition section; a balance part with a placement board where commodities can be placed which measures a weight of the commodities placed on the placement board; a weight determination section which determines coincidence between a value measured by the balance part and a weight value totaled by the totaling section; and a settlement section which outputs the total sum of purchases commodities and executes settlement processing when the weight determination section determines that the measured value coincides with the weight value.</p> |
