A device for performing balancing of a plurality of series-connected cells included in a module comprises: a first switching unit including cell selection switches connected to cells, respectively, included in a module and connecting a first cell to be balanced and a balancing unit; a second switching unit including cell selection switches connected to the cells, respectively, included in the module and connecting a second cell to be balanced and the balancing unit; a control unit to measure voltages of the cells and control operations of the first and second switching units and the balancing unit based on information about the selected first and second cells using the measured voltages; and the balancing unit connected to the first switching unit and the second switching unit and performing balancing between the first cell and the second cell selected by the control unit.
