摘要 The present invention relates to an automatic parking system and a method based on an omnidirectional image. According to the present invention, the method comprises: estimating and detecting an empty parking slot by recognizing a parking lot among vehicles in motion; tracking a start point of the vehicle by recognizing the two points which are the start point of a parking line of the empty parking slot on the basis of a surrounding vehicle monitoring image; and extracting the position of the vehicle and a heading angle for the vehicle to park at the empty parking slot.
