The system (1) has a movable transfer station (3) comprising a retainer (5) and a charge carrier promoted between a vehicle i.e. road vehicle such as lorry (17) and the retainer, and/or between a bearing and the retainer. Another vehicle i.e. rail vehicle (51) or goods train, comprises underneath construction with an undercarriage and a loading area structure for charge carriers. The transfer station is designed as steerable and freely moved road-bonded shipping vehicle, and comprises drive units (11, 13). The drive units are remotely controlled by an electronic control unit.
