PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive sheet that does not cause any heterogeneity section seen in white stripe form in an end of a liquid crystal screen even if affixed on a corrugated surface and put in a high temperature and high humidity environment, like a luminance increasing film; and to provide a liquid crystal display employing the adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: In the adhesive sheet, in which an adhesive layer is placed on at least one surface of the substrate sheet, the adhesive sheet is characterized in that an adhesive layer is based on a (meth)acrylic ester, has a cross linkage functional group, and is composed of an adhesive made by reacting an acrylic copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 400,000 to 900,000 with a crosslinking agent, the gel fraction of the adhesive layer is 70-90 mass%, and the storage elastic modulus of the adhesive layer at 90°C is from 350 to 1,000 kPa; and, in the liquid crystal display, the liquid crystal display unit and backlight unit are fixed by the adhesive sheet.
