A METHOD FOR PERFORMING ALARM FUNCTION AND AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREOF

The present invention relates to a method and an electronic device for transmitting event alarm information to a second electronic device to enable the second electronic device to perform the event alarm instead of an electronic device when a battery of the electronic device does not have sufficient remaining amount of battery power so power of the electronic device is hardly maintained until an event alarm time due to discharge of the battery. A method for operating an electronic device comprises the steps: determining whether remaining amount of battery power in the electronic device is lower than or equal to a reference remaining amount of battery power with which a power supply of the electronic device is maintained in a turned-on state until a time at which an alarm is set to be activated; and transmitting alarm information about the alarm to a second electronic device, wherein the alarm information is information configured by an instruction prearranged between the electronic device and the second electronic device to enable the second electronic device to set an alarm function according to the alarm information automatically after reception of the alarm information.
