VOLTAGE LIMITATION CIRCUIT FOR POWER SWITCH DEVICES CONNECTED IN SERIES

A voltage limitation circuit for power switch devices connected in series includes a branch with power switch devices connected in series consisting of a plurality of power switch devices (Q1-Qn). The power switch device includes a control terminal, a high terminal (SD) and a low terminal (WD). In the branch with power switch devices connected in series, the series-connected way for the plurality of power switch devices (Q1-Qn) is that the high terminal (SD) of one power switch device is connected in turn with the low terminal (WD) of another power switch device in series. A plurality of temporary energy storing circuits (K1-Kn) are included. A temporary energy storing circuit is connected across the terminals of each power switch device in parallel for storing energy of load current transitorily flowing due to asynchronously switching on and off of respective power switch device. A central voltage limitation circuit (H) for limiting the voltage of the series branch with power switch devices is included.
