The present invention relates to a production method of a mutant abalone having a high growth rate. Specifically, the present invention relates to an abalone production method comprising the steps of: effectively applying radiation to abalones which have mobility to induce mutation; collecting sperms and eggs from the irradiated abalones, followed by fertilizing the eggs with the sperms to obtain second-generation abalones; and producing abalones which have high growth rates among the second-generation abalones. A production method of abalones with the growth promoted in the present invention effectively immobilizes abalones which have mobility to allow accurate radiation exposure by using a process of putting mature abalones one by one in abalone receiving boxes, followed by applying a specific dose of gamma-ray to the abalones. The production method of abalones has the advantage of allowing the production of abalones which have high growth rates in comparison with abalones raised by a general culture method, due to the induction of mutation according to a specific dose of radiation exposure.
