The method involves forming a coating with a protective layer on aluminum rim profile (2) by spraying process. A bonding layer of the coating is formed using a four-color printheads (18,20,22,24) and printed indicia are provided in the bonding layer. The bonding layer after printing by the printheads is dried by exposing to UV radiation of UV mercury lamp (30). A color layer is provided as a base for the bonding layer and dried by irradiation of LED lamp (32). An independent claim is included for device for applying coating on aluminum rim profile. |
