摘要 Provided are a system and a method to generate a camera correction value for a vision system camera along three discrete planes in three-dimensional (3D) volume space where at least two (i.e., parallel) object planes are used at heights of open areas different from each other. As for an arbitrary third plane (i.e., parallel) of a certain height, the system and the method automatically generate correction data of the camera by interpolation/extrapolation from first two corrections, which eases the necessity of setting the correction object at two or more heights, thereby making the speed of a correction process fast, simplify the correction setting of a user, and allow interpolation/extrapolation for the height to which the correction object cannot access. A correction plate uses a full 2D hand-eye correction at each heights or is moved to a location of an open area along a height direction (i.e., Z); therefore the object can be corrected at a first height and a second height using the hand-eye correction.
