A front surface protection plate (10) for a display device has a display region (A1) at the center, and an opaque region (A2), which is provided at the outer circumferential portion of the display region, and which blocks visible light. An infrared transmitting window (4) for transmitting infrared light is provided in a part within the opaque region. The front surface protection plate (10) has: a light transmitting substrate (1); a blocking layer (3), which is formed in the opaque region on the side of one surface (S2) of the light transmitting substrate, and which has formed therein, as a non-forming portion, a portion to be the infrared transmitting window; and an infrared transmitting layer (2), which is laminated within the opaque region on the one surface side, and which is laminated on a portion that includes the non-forming portion of the blocking layer. The blocking layer blocks at least the visible light, and the infrared transmitting layer blocks the visible light and transmits infrared light. The infrared transmitting layer is formed in all the regions between the light transmitting substrate and the blocking layer that includes the non-forming portion to be the infrared transmitting window. |
