The present invention relates to supporting of a translation-based communications service, and more particularly, to a method and a system for supporting a translation-based communications service, and a terminal supporting the same. The method for supporting a translation-based communications service comprises the steps of forming a communications service channel between a transmission terminal and a reception terminal, translating at least one of text of first language collected by the transmission terminal and a voice signal of the first language into a second language to generate at least one of translated text of the second language and a translated voice of the second language, and receiving at least one of the generated translated text of the second language and the generated translated voice of the second language by the reception terminal and outputting the same.
