PURPOSE: A frost detecting device of a refrigerator is provided to improve the reliability of frost detection by measuring discharge duration of a capacitor formed between an evaporator and a conduct. CONSTITUTION: One evaporator (120) is connected to a circuit ground (190). One conductor (110) is installed by being adjacent to the evaporator. One connection line (140) is connected to the conductor. The other end of the connection line is connected to one two-way input and output port of one microcontroller (100). One resistance (150) is connected between the port and the circuit ground. A predetermined number relative to a thickness of frost is set in the microcontroller. The discharge time is measured in one timer located inside the microcontroller. The measured discharge time is compared with the predetermined number in the above step. |
