The present invention relates to a method for providing a user interface based on one point touch, and an apparatus for the same, capable of executing various user commands through one touch operation without making a complex touch gesture or drawing a predetermined pattern. If a touch on one point in a touch region is sensed, the direction of force applied to one point is detected for a predetermined period of time in the state that the touch on the point is fixed, the variation pattern in the direction of force, which is detected for a predetermined period of time, is extracted according to time passed, and a preset user command according to the extracted variation pattern is executed. |
