Provided is a handover originating base station which transmits data to a handover destination base station, for performing mobile communication terminal handover in a mobile communication system. The handover originating base station is provided with a means for transmitting data whose transmission is not confirmed by a communication terminal, with information which indicates data transmitted just before.

1. A base station of a mobile communication system, the base station comprising:
first communication means for communicating with a mobile station; second communication means for communicating with a core network; and third communication means for transmitting a sequence number of a first missing data to a second base station during handover of the mobile station to the second base station from the first base station, if there is a plurality of missing data that needs to be retransmitted among data transmitted between the mobile station and a core network, wherein the sequence number of the first missing data is transmitted to the second base station separately from a sequence number of other missing data of the plurality of missing data.
