The present invention relates to a vertical die casting apparatus to cast a rotor and a method thereof. More specifically, the said invention relates to an apparatus to prevent the same from absorbing the impurities when die casting in a vertical method and casting high-quality rotor; especially by adopting a vertical method to cast in the vertical direction while molten metal overflows in a mold, during which molten metal is supplied inside the vacuum state; and to a method thereof.
