<p>When an object to be detected such as a hand or a finger is moved from bottom to top of a proximity sensor 19 during touchless motion, light emitted from each light emitting element 10A, 10B is reflected by the object to be detected. A light receiving element 32 detects the reflected light and outputs a detection signal 1, 2. When the object to be detected then reaches a place above a light emitting element 10C, the light receiving element 32 detects reflected light derived from the light emitting element 10C and outputs a detection signal 3. The bottom-to-top movement of the object to be detected can be detected from an output pattern of the detection signals 1, 2 and 3.</p> |
