摘要 The present invention relates to a device for calculating roughness of the earth surface by using regression analysis and a method thereof. The device for calculating the roughness of the earth surface according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an obtaining unit, a regression equation calculating unit, an earth surface height calculating unit, a representative value calculating unit, and an earth surface roughness calculating unit. The obtaining unit obtains the position information of points in an object area, altitude information, and information for total height in which the height of a building is reflected. The regression equation calculating unit calculates a regression equation by using the regression analysis based on the position information and the altitude information. The earth surface height calculating unit calculates the height of the earth surface for each point by applying the position information to the regression equation. The representative value calculating unit calculates a representative value of the object area by performing a statistics process for the difference value between the calculated total height and the height of the earth surface for each point. The earth surface roughness calculating unit calculates the roughness of the earth surface of the object area according to the representative value.
