A simple, small-sized, and lightweight stress cone compression device. A stress cone compressing device provided with: a cylindrical pressing member having, on the inner periphery of the front end thereof, a horn-shaped tapered section expanded in diameter toward the front end; a hollow disc-shaped pressing member flange provided on the rear end surface side of the pressing member with a spacing therebetween and having a front end surface thereof mounted to the rear end surface of a bushing; an annular washer provided on the rear end surface side of the pressing member flange with a spacing therebetween; first shafts penetrating through both the washer and the pressing member flange and affixed to the rear end section of the pressing member; coiled springs fitted over the outer peripheries of the first shafts, having front end surfaces thereof making contact with the rear end surface of the pressing member, and having rear end surfaces thereof making contact with the front end surface of the washer; coiled springs fitted over the outer peripheries of the first shafts and compressed by the washer; second shafts penetrating through the washer and affixed to the pressing member flange; and a gap adjusting member for adjusting the gap between the pressing member flange and the washer. |
