The present invention relates to a method for preparing highly transparent anhydrosugar alcohols having improved production efficiency through process simplification, and more specifically, in contrast with an existing method that dehydrates a hydrogenated sugar, transforms the same into anhydrous sugar alcohols, and conducts a series of processes including solvent crystallization and subsequent refining, to a method of preparing anhydrosugar alcohols having a final purity of at least 97% and high transparency at low cost, with higher efficiency, and in an environmentally friendly way without a crystallization step that uses an organic solvent, by dissolving a distilled material which distils an output of a conversion step to water, and purifying the same.
