<p>A conveyor system for delicate items, especially for collecting eggs from a laying facility, has the items rolled onto transporter belts which also serve as intermediate storage modules to hold the items produced in a discontinuous manner. Monitors under the belts measure the loading of the belts and activate a transport sequence, with the speed of the belts related to the loading density in order to minimize breakages. The system also enables programmed transport of items from groups of sites, e.g. from special feed mixtures in egg production.</p> |
