The present invention relates to a retractor for a cable. According to the present invention, the retractor includes a body; a cable handling unit which fixes a cable by drawing the cable in a desired length using an in-position rotating pulley provided inside the body to rotate in-position and a moving pulley movably provided lengthwise, or winds the cable at an original position after use; a tension adjusting unit provided in opposite to the in-position rotating pulley to adjust tension of the cable; a length adjusting unit which can pivot in cooperation with the moving pulley movably provided at the cable handling unit; and a length adjusting guide unit that guides the movement of the length adjusting unit through a length adjusting portion which is continuously arranged in a predetermined pattern to guide the movement of the length adjusting unit, in order to adjust the drawing length or winding length of the cable. Upon the use of a telephone connected to an ATM device through a cable, the length adjusting unit is guided by the length adjusting guide unit, which is arranged in a predetermined pattern, when the cable is drawn from or retracted to the ATM device, so that the cable can be easily and conveniently drawn or retracted in a desired length. |
