<p>The invention relates to a didactic device to be employed in teaching, for the study of the uniform rectilinear motion. According to the invention, the device consists of a carriage () moving at constant speed, in a rectilinear direction, on a table (), under the action of a wire () wound on a pulley () driven into rotation by the wire () slip-free wound on and off the pulley (), the said pulley () being rotatably supported within a support () fixed to the table () which passes below another pulley () rotatably supported within the support (), the wire () passing further over the pulley () rotatably supported within the support (), at the end of the wire () there being attached a plate () on which the set () of weights providing the system motive power can be mounted, all the supports () being fixed to the table (), the carriage being put into motion by the application of an initial impulse and stopped by means of a resilient stopper (), on the shaft of the pulley () there being also mounted a direct current generator () which, when the carriage describes a uniform rectilinear motion, shall rotate at a constant speed and shall provide a current of constant intensity, indicated by an apparatus ().</p> |
