Gaming table (10) for use with electronic memory microchip gaming chips, comprises a table top (12), at least one test station (34) housed in a casing and at least one display device (32). The table top (12) includes a gaming chip storage area (21) and at least one gaming chip testing area (28) which permits fast authentication of gaming chips. The at least one test station (34) includes a communication unit (36) adapted to exchange information with a memory of a gaming chip (25) in the gaming chip testing area by an antenna device (29) disposed at least one of on and in the table top. The communication unit is associated with a processing unit for processing information contained in the memory. The at least one display device (32) is for displaying an output message obtained from the processing unit (38) and based at least in part on information contained in the memory. The display device (32) includes a screen (30) on and/or in the table top (12). The display device (32) is physically separate from the casing (35) of the test station (34) and the gaming chip testing area (28) and the screen (30) of the display device are close together, beside the storage area (21) and in reach and in view of the operator of the table. Also disclosed is Gaming room surveillance equipment including at least one of the above described gaming table and the surveillance equipment includes at least one display duplicator device associated with the display device and including a second screen external to the gaming table that can be viewed by a second gaming room operator. |
