The system (1) has a processing block (2) adapted to collect measurements of physical quantities carried out by measuring devices (3-5) e.g. current transformers. The block has a reception unit i.e. temporary power supply sub-module to receive power supply of the block. The reception unit includes a housing (17) to receive a power supply device adapted to provide a power supply signal. The block is adapted to follow the reception of the power supply device in the housing and perform configuration operation of the system. The block is supplied with power by the power supply sub-module. An independent claim is also included for a method for configuring a physical quantity measurement system.
