The present invention relates to a fastening strap (20) for being used in a foam article (40). A sideway-bendable fastening strap (20) for a foam article includes a substantially flat hollow helical body made from a single hook strap (10) having a first outer surface (21), a second outer surface (22), and a plurality of hooks (12) integrally formed on each of the first and second outer surfaces; wherein the hook strap is formed by plastic injection process and has a substrate (11) and a plurality of hooks (12) integrally formed on one face of the substrate, and wherein the hollow helical body is formed by sequentially and continually folding the hook strap from one end of the hook strap toward the other end of the hook strap along a number folding lines (13) which are parallel with each other and at an angle (¸) with respect to a longitudinal axis of the hook strap with the face having the hooks formed thereon facing outward such that the hook strap is plastically and permanently deformed at the folding lines to form a hollow helical body having a width (w). |
