The lid (100) has a circular glass part (103) for covering an opening of a tank, and a plastic ring (110) for supporting the glass part and encircling the opening of the tank. An annular metal cladding (120) partially encloses the plastic ring and maintains the glass part against the plastic ring. The metal cladding is deformed to attach the glass part and the plastic ring by compression. The plastic ring includes an annular vertical wall of the ring inserted into a vessel along a wall of the vessel and a radial crown located at an upper end of the vertical wall. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vessel and lid assembly (2) a multi-functional food processor.
