The method involves providing a preparation manager (1) that performs preparation for starting an internal combustion engine i.e. petrol engine, of a hybrid vehicle. A set of strategies such as arbitration strategy (3) is provided for starting the petrol engine, and duration of starting of the engine is reduced according to the set of strategies. The manger is allowed to receive a set of parameters such as fuel type, representative of operation of the engine. A starting instruction is given according to standby time (Tatt dem MTH) and criticality of starting request (Ri redem MTH). An independent claim is also included for a hybrid vehicle. |
