A DRM conversion system and a control method for using the digital contents of recording medium regardless of a DRM mode are provided to decode or encode the digital contents stored in a portable storage medium using the DRM method. A receiving interface(111) is connected to the portable storage medium storing encrypted digital contents encrypted by a first DRM(Digital Rights Management) mode. A decoding unit(112) decodes the digital contents. According to the second DRM mode of the specific portable player for to transmitting the digital contents, an encryption/packaging unit(113) ciphers the decoded digital contents. A transmitting interface transmits the encrypted digital contents to the specific portable player. |
