The temperature control device (1) has first heating plate segment (2) for fully or partially contacting the first component portion (9). A second heating plate segment (3) is provided for completely or partly planar contact with the second component region (11). An insulating segment (4) is provided between the first and second heating plates, to thermally separate the plates from one another. A cooling element (8) is provided for cooling the insulation segment adjacent to segment region of second heating plate. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) system for controlling temperature of several sheet-shaped metal plates; and (2) method for temperature control of two-component portions of sheet-shaped metal plates.
