The invention relates to a method for obtaining a uniform dispersion of graphene platelets in a liquid, using a base paste that comprises carbon nanofibres in the form of dry powder and has a structure consisting of a continuous strip of graphitic layers wound in a spiral around and along the main axis of each of the carbon nanofibres, where said strip is formed by a stack of a small number of graphitic layers, intercalated powder and a ligant liquid in order to obtain a uniform dispersion of graphene platelets in a liquid. Said base paste is subjected to a step of fragmentation, intercalation and exfoliation, and subsequent addition of a liquid, and lastly, energy is applied by means of a physical process in order to obtain a uniform dispersion of graphene platelets with the aim of homogenising and stabilising the dispersion.
