In the present invention, provided is a method of manufacturing an electrode for a battery having good rate properties and low electrical resistance. The electrode for a battery is manufactured by a method including dry mixing (A) an active material, (B) carbon fibers having a fiber diameter of 50-300 nm, inclusively, (C) carbon fibers having a fiber diameter of 5-40 nm, inclusively, (D) carbon black, and (E) a binder to obtain a mixture; adding 5/95 to 20/80 mass, inclusively, of a liquid medium into the mixture based on the total amount of (A) the active material, (B) the carbon fiber, (C) the carbon fiber, (D) the carbon black, and (E) the binder; roll mixing while applying shear stress, and molding the rolled mixture into a sheet phase. |
