PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of using a bearing with a small diameter, and to provide a method for manufacturing the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotor is supported on a housing by a bearing 40 on the inside of a stator fixed on the housing. A shaft 32 penetrated into a rotor core 31 and rotatably supported by the bearing 40 includes a rotor core side shaft 33 and an output side shaft 34 having a bearing support part 34a to be inserted into the bearing 40 on one side, and in a state where the bearing support part 34a is inserted into the bearing 40, a one-side tip of the output side shaft 34 is coupled to the rotor core side shaft 33. When it is defined that a maximum outer diameter of the output side shaft 34 isφ1, an outer diameter of a surface So brought into contact with the bearing 40, which is a bearing support surface of the bearing support part 34a corresponding to an inner diameter of the first bearing 40 isφ2 and an outer diameter of a coupling part of the rotor core side shaft 33 with the output side shaft 34 isφ3, relationsφ2<φ1 andφ2<φ3 are satisfied. |
