PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide which reduces friction with a plastic layer of a packaging container side surface to ensure smooth transportation, and a method for manufacturing the guide. ! SOLUTION: A guide 3 of a transportation passage for paper packaging containers is provided in a transportation passage for transporting paper packaging containers having a plastic layer on the outer surface. The guide 3 is provided on the lateral side of the transportation passage and along the transport direction of the paper packaging containers, is brought into contact with the container walls of the paper packaging containers, has a circular cross-sectional shape, and comprises a core body 3a and an outer body 3b. The outer body 3b covers the whole of the core body 3a, and is brought into contact with the wall surfaces of the transported paper packaging containers.
