The present invention generates a suitable color image even when a subject having a large difference in brightness and darkness is imaged. An output signal linear transformation unit (104) transforms a first output signal (S1) to a second output signal (S2) having linearity, the first output signal (S1) being output by an imaging element (102) provided with a plurality of pixels in which are aligned three filters (R, G, B) that selectively transmit light having different wavelengths and that have equal transmittances in an infrared light region, and a transparent filter (C) in which a transmittance in a visible light region is displayed with a linear sum of the transmittances of the filters (R, G, B) and which has a transmittance equal to the transmittances of the filters (R, G, B) in the infrared region; a color signal generating unit (105a) generates a missing color signal by interpolation; an infrared separator (1053a) separates infrared light components from a color signal to generate an infrared separated color signal; a luminance signal generating unit (107) generates a luminance signal (Y1) from the first output signal (S1); and a color luminance integrating unit (109) integrates the infrared separated color signal and the luminance signal (Y1) to generate video signals (R2, G2, B2). |
