The valve has a valve seat body (11) at whose combustion-chamber-sided end, a valve seat (14) surrounding a valve opening (13) is formed. A sleeve (23) is fitted on the body area of the valve seat body, where the sleeve encloses a hollow cavity (22) towards the valve seat body. The body area of the valve seat body is fitted in the combustion chamber. The hollow cavity is hermetically sealed. A vacuum prevails in the hollow cavity. The hollow cavity is filled with solid or liquid medium with low coefficient of thermal conductivity. The sleeve consists of stainless steel.
