The test stand (1) has a cantilever bearing base (2), a drive for device under test and a retainer (5). A projecting portion (10) of the bearing base is braced through a support (6) for oscillation damping of the retainer. The drive shaft is provided to the terminal of a countershaft of the gear box. The support is more adjustable between bearing base and retainer. An eccentric cam roller is provided by which a predetermined bracing force between base and the retainer is applied.
