PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector easy to match characteristic impedance and excellent in a high-speed signal transmission characteristic, with both miniaturization of the connector and securement of mounting on a mounting target, and a signal transmission method using the connector.SOLUTION: A connector 1 includes a plurality of high-speed differential signal lanes 30 each including two first contacts 31 for high-speed differential signal transmission and two ground connectors 32. A second contact 40 not subordinate to the high-speed differential signal lane 30 is disposed between the plurality of high-speed differential signal lanes 30. On the first connection side, contact parts 31a, 32a, 40a of contacts 31, 32, 40 are disposed with intervals in one row. On the second connection side, a terminal part 31b of the first contact 31 and a terminal part 32b of the ground contact 32 on a first row R1 are disposed at intervals broader than intervals between the respective contact parts 31a, 32a, 40a, and a terminal part 40b of the second contact 40 is disposed on a second row R2. |
