PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing an increase in electric resistance of a transfer member, even when the number of recording media on which images are formed is different between print jobs.SOLUTION: When one print job includes a large number of sheet members P to which images are transferred, a control unit 104 increases a reverse polarity voltage to be applied to an auxiliary roll 88 compared to the case of a small number of sheet members P. Thus, even when the number of sheet members P on which images are formed is different between print jobs, an increase in resistance of a secondary transfer roll 86 can be suppressed compared to the case where the constant reverse polarity voltage is applied irrespective of the number of sheet members P. |
