<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control system for attaining a more excellent fuel consumption at a lock state time while blocking the occurrence of a power circulation.SOLUTION: In a hybrid type vehicle driven by an engine 1 and motor generators MG1 and MG2, the engine 1 is equipped with a variable compression ratio mechanism and a variable valve timing mechanism. In the engine 1, a throttle opening is controlled while a mechanical compression ratio being kept at or higher than a predetermined compression ratio and while the closing timing of an intake valve being kept on a side apart from an intake bottom dead center, so that an intake air amount is controlled. An EGR operation is performed at the time of a lock state, in which the rotation of the motor generator MG1 is blocked.</p> |
