PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting that facilitates attachment to and removal from a fall preventing wire. ! SOLUTION: A metal fitting comprises: a first holding member 2 and a second holding member 5 that hold a fall preventing wire 35 from both sides in a wire diameter direction; a connection shaft 11 of which one end is connected to the first holding member 2 in a state of penetrating the second clamping member 5 and that supports the second holding member 5 in a manner contactable to and separable from the first holding member 2; and a fastening member 25 that is provided between the first holding member 2 and the second holding member 5, and locks both holding members 2 and 5 in a state of holding the fall preventing wire 35 or releases the state of holding the fall preventing wire 35 through an operation of a lever 29.
