A respiratory assistance device comprises: a pair of prongs (12) which are airways which are to be mounted to a user's nose; and a blower (10) which is connected to this pair of prongs (12) and which delivers air to the user's nasal cavity via the prongs (12). The blower (10) is placed on the user's mouth. The blower (10) makes contact with the user's mouth. The blower (10) further comprises: a casing body (21), which has an air intake (26) which takes in a gas, a flow path (32) which is disposed to make a circuit and which channels the air which is taken in from the air intake (26), and a discharge port (27) which delivers to the prongs (12) the air which flows along this flow path (32); an impeller (23) which is positioned within the casing body (21) such that the front face thereof faces the air intake (26); and a partition member (25) which, by being positioned on the back face side of this impeller (23) such that there is a slit (d) which circles the inner circumference face of the casing body (21), partitions a space (31) wherein the impeller (23) is positioned and the flow path (32) which makes the circuit along the slit (d). |
