The purpose of the present invention is to provide a screening method whereby it is possible to easily and directly identify compounds that regulate (suppress or promote) bone differentiation. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a differentiation induction method and cells which can be used in such a screening method.　Bone differentiation can be induced by a process in which cells prepared by introducing reprogramming factors into fibroblasts from patients suffering from fibroidysplasia ossificans progressiva are cultured in the presence of BMP-6. Also provided is a method of screening for bone differentiation-regulating substances by culturing the such cells together with a test substance, and evaluating the ossification of the cells.
