Electrical female terminal (30) for automotive vehicle connectors. The female terminal (30) comprises a box-shaped cage (34) extending in a terminal insertion direction between a front opening and tail. The cage comprises a top wall. A locking lance (36) extends longitudinally substantially in the insertion direction (D) above the top wall from a joint to a free end (38). The locking lance comprises a portion consisting in two beams facing each other connected together by U-shaped portions.
