<p>A fuel distribution tube (1) for distributing pressurized fuel to fuel injection valves (6) comprises a tube body (15) formed by joining a base plate (16) and a cover plate (17) and is configured such that cup-shaped injection valve support members (21) are provided to the bottom wall (16a) of the base plate (16) and such that various brackets (25-27) are joined to the fuel distribution tube (1). The front end of a fuel introduction pipe (8) for introducing the fuel is connected to the bottom wall (16a) of the base plate (16) at the longitudinal center of the tube body (15). The cover plate (17) has relatively low rigidity and becomes deformed as a pulsation absorption section in response to pulsation within the tube. The fuel introduction pipe (8) does not restrain the pulsation absorption section, and consequently, it is possible to obtain a large change in the cross-sectional area, and the waves of pulsation generated by each of the injection valve support members (21) is effectively reduced.</p> |
