The present invention relates to a method and a system for determining a location of a mobile terminal device, and a computer-readable recording medium. The method for determining the location of the mobile terminal device, according to one aspect of the present invention, comprises the steps of: determining a current approximate location and an average speed of the mobile terminal device; determining whether an intersection point is formed between a virtual circle drawn on the basis of the approximate location and a route; and determining, as the current location of the mobile terminal device, a location on the route which is nearest to the approximate location when one or more intersection points are formed, or determining the current location of the mobile terminal device on the basis of the distance estimated as a movement of the mobile terminal device on the route during a predetermined time in view of the average speed of the mobile terminal device when one or more intersection points are not formed.
