The present invention relates to a method of cooling one or more superconductive cables. The cable is arranged in a cryostat having one or more thermally insulated pipes with a free space surrounded by the pipe, wherein the cable and one or more tubular structures are arranged in the free space, and wherein a coolant is transferred from a feeding point located at one end to a distal end through the structure. The coolant is transferred through the cryostat and the tubular structure exclusively in one direction of the cable until the temperature of the cable reaches an operation temperature and is discharged to the outside from the distal end. After reaching the operation temperature, the coolant is returned from the distal end of a system to the feeding point through the tubular structure. |
