A combination shaving and trimming device (10) includes a powered trimmer (30) and a wet- shaving razor attachment (20) adapted for mounting over the trimmer. The wet shaving razor attachment includes a connecting member (22) for mounting over the trimmer for wet shaving using the trimmer as the handle. A grip insert (72) is provided that removably attaches to the connecting member for wet shaving independent of the trimmer. The combination shaving and trimming device and the grip insert include alignment guides (92) providing one way attachment of the connecting member to the trimmer as well as one way attachment of the grip insert to the connecting member.
